Amanda Osgood
I created Le Chouchou du Prof over fifteen years ago as a way of sharing my passion for the French language and the French way of life. My personable and flexible approach focuses on the needs of each individual student that I work with. I love teaching French and believe that many fears of learning a new language are easily overcome by creating a supportive and friendly environment.

LEARNING FRENCH
PRE SCHOOL & PRIMARY TEACHING
For pre-school and primary school children, I provide extra-curricular French tuition in line with the national curriculum guidelines in a fun and progressive way. We work together to improve language skills and build confidence in speaking, helping to prepare for Modern Foreign Language study at Secondary School. I also try to introduce the concept of a different culture as we celebrate key dates ‘French-style’.
PRIVATE TUITION
1:1 private tuition is a chance to prepare for GCSE, iGCSE and A2 level French language and oral examinations. These lessons can take place in your home or mine. Virtual online classes can also be arranged. I cover grammar, language, exam technique and practice papers across multiple exam boards.
ADULT CONVERSATION
Individual or small group adult conversation classes are a fun way to learn/improve grammar, social and practical conversation skills. Classes can also cover French cultural and current affairs in a relaxed and friendly way. All abilities are welcome.
